Jan 9: No Event Scheduled
Feb 13: An informal “get-to-gather” hosted by Mary Christians at Last Chance
Mar 13: Formal meeting with Dinner hosted by E.J. Pangle at DeSoto Club - Cancelled due to small number of sign-ups.
Apr 10: An informal “get-to-gather” hosted by Mary Seitz at Brick House Grill in Hot Springs following Laser Tag & Mini Golf activities. New Members introduced were Sharon & Keith Goudy, Donna & David Lee, Toby & Mark Hamilton
Mary Christians announced the Habitat Build will be in Vicksburg, MS on April 16-23 and 15 rigs are signed up.
Mary Seitz discussed the Washington DC trip scheduled for May 15-21.
Dan Johnson posted the group about the Waldron Blue Grass Festival June 14-17.
The Medora ND trip is scheduled to begin July 30 and was discussed by Perilloux and Gunderson in the absence of Fisher and O'Malley.
The St. Louis trip Sept 6-12 is Wagon mastered by Good and Baldwin.
The next meeting will be May 8 and is a catered meal at the Cortez Pavilion and will cost $12 per person and is hosted by Nancy Gilbert.
May 8: A catered meal hosted by Nancy Gilbert at Cortez Pavilion. It was announced Barbara Rinke who has been our "Sunshine" person sold their RV and plan to sell their house and move to FL. We will miss her as our Sunshine volunteer. Neala Gunderson volunteered to take over this responsibility
Jun 12: An informal “get-to-gather” with Potluck hosted by Linda & Mac Good at their home. Pres. Roger Jobe conducted a short business meeting and 60 people were in attendance. The next meetin will be Aug 14.

Aug 14 A catered picnic was hosted by Mary Seitz at Cortez Pavilion.
The August meeting was a picnic at Cortez Pavilion coordinated by Mary Seitz and catered by DJ

Communications: Steve Seitz reported A notice was sent out regarding the death of Jane Montgomery (former Roadrunner). Also emails on “Junk in the Trunk” and Meeting reminders were sent
Publicity: Mary Seitz reported to see the newspaper for any articles written.
Webmaster: Steve Seitz reported the web page is up to date and contains the information for meetings and trips.
Membership: Steve Seitz reported the current membership is 46 families (Rigs). There are 6 families tonight joining us that may become members: Dick & Carol Ann Ritchey, David & Nancy Johnson, Michael Gallo (Charlotte Dunlap), and Friends & Neighbors of Morissette’s.
Trip Reports past and upcoming (EJ)
- May 15 – 21 – Washington DC – Mary Seitz reported 3 rigs joined the fun in Washington DC. We toured the Supreme Court Building, the Kennedy Performing Arts building, and many Smithsonian’s.
- June 14-17 Bluegrass in Waldron AR – Was anyone able to attend? No one acknowledged.
- July 30-Aug 6, Medora ND: They have not yet returned to HSV
- Sept 6, St. Louis area: Linda Good reported only 3 rigs plan to attend. They plan to see a St. Louis Baseball game.
- Oct 1, Texas Hill country: Ken Frankenberger reported the details of camping in San Antonio and the balance of the agenda.
- Any Interest in going to De Gray SP over Thanksgiving, Nov 22-25? Very little response.
EJ and Steve Seitz asked for input on 2018 trips
Nancy Gilbert reminded members of FMCA to vote by mid-October to support the bylaw changes to expand FMCA from just Motorhomes to all RV’s.
Next Meeting: Sept 11 a formal meeting here at Cortez coordinated by Diane Jobe.- This meeting will be in preparation for 2018 - Officers and More Trips, and Meeting coordinators.

Sep 11 A catered picnic was hosted by Diane Jobe at Cortez Pavilion.
President Roger Jobe called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. and Mary Seitz gave the invocation.
All the people with Destination tee shirts gave their specific destinations, then those with a Message read off to the group their message. Those with neither, were to swim the channel.

July 30-Aug 6, Medora ND: Don Fisher reported 4 rigs went to Medora and visited Theodore Roosevelt National Park, saw wild horses, played golf, and attended many local events.
Sept 6, St. Louis area (Most still on the trip)
Oct 1, Texas Hill country: Ken Frankenberger reported there is still space available for the trip and those signed up will attend a meeting following this meeting.
Any Interest in going to De Gray SP over Thanksgiving, Nov 22-25 – Only one family indicated an interest.
Steve Seitz what are your thoughts for 2018 trips and where do you want to volunteer for 2018? A handout was distributed that showed areas available to volunteer for 2018.
Next Meeting: October 9 a formal meeting at the Townhouse Association Club House , 1 Perralana Lane. Turn South at the 4 way stop at DeSoto & Calella onto Valencia and go up the hill about one block. Parking will be limited, so car pool if you can or meet in the Regions Bank parking area on Calella and ride up the hill together.
This meeting will be in preparation for 2018 - Officer Nominations and More Trips, and Meeting coordinators.

Sept 6, St. Charles area (Linda Good) – The group enjoyed Trolley rides in St. Charles (first Capital in MO) and in St. Louis. They took in the Arch, Lacld Landing and Downtown St. Louis as well as attended a Cardinal Game. Other events included Forest Park, Forest Park Zoo, Art Museum, Botanical Gardens, Budweiser Brewery Tour and a wine tour along the Katy Trail

The nominating group has contacted the following and they have agreed to serve in 2018:

These names have been placed in nomination and additional names may be submitted from the floor or emailed to Steve before Nov 13. A motion by Bob Christians to accept the nomination list and seconded by Linda Good. The officer will be voted upon at the next meeting on Nov 13.
Steve Seitz: Thoughts for 2018 trips and where do you want to volunteer for 2018.
For a successful 2018, you need to STEP UP and volunteer to lead a trip in 2018
Some idea plans include Apr for Habitat, coupled with a trip to Lexington KY, and may be extended on to WV.
Summer: Northwest to Montana, Jackson Hole WY – Northeast to Finger Lakes NY area
Fall: Shreveport LA, New Orleans LA, Gulf Shores AL
Local: Petite Jean SP and other local State Parks
A schedule for Wagon Master Training will be emailed to those that have not yet completed the training.
Next Meeting: Nov 13 at the Catholic Church Fellowship Hall coordinated by Linda Good. This meeting will be election of officer and trip preparation for 2018.
