2019 Roadrunner operating proposal - Voted for at Nov 12 meeting
For a number of years, the Roadrunner club has struggled in providing a number of RV trips to meet the needs of the club.

Assuming we do not get the officer positions filled for the 2019 term, the club will operate as a skeleton operation with “join me” type trips and a few social events.  Thus, 2019 would be primarily email communications and the plan would be to end Roadrunners at the end of 2019.

The Club by-laws and Policy & Procedures are stated on the web page (www.roadrunners.com) .  They will remain in place except the following changes

By-Laws:  The following changes will supersede those stated
Article 1 – Name: No Change

Article 2 – Object: add to – Money remaining in the Treasury when the club disbands will be donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Saline County-Cedar Mountain.

Article 3 – Members:  No Change

Article 4 – Officers & Elections:  Basically no Change IF the positions are filled.  If not filled the club will run with a Treasurer and Communication/Webmaster Coordinator and they may continue to serve through 2019.

Article 5 – Duties of Officers:  Basically no Change IF the positions are filled.  If not, there will be no official meeting agenda or minutes or reports.  See Social Meetings below.

Policy & Procedures:  The following changes will supersede those stated:
A $10 non-refundable sign-up trip fee may be charged if the Wagon Master so chooses.
No annual dues for Membership. 2018 members will be 2019 members unless they asked to be removed.  New 2019 members can be members by asking to be added.
Officers for 2018 may continue as signature authority on the checking account for 2019
Name badges for new members are available “if desired” at a cost of $10 each.

Social Meetings
Social meetings will be “informal” gatherings at a location where each member makes their own reservation and has a separate check for paying.  A volunteer host would be nice to have to coordinate the event.  The second Monday of Feb, May, Aug, and Nov are suggestions.

Join me Trips
As an individual, when you are going on a Trip, tell the club where and when you are going and invite others to join with you in all or part of the trip.  This may be a private trip or a trip where you are going to sign up for a Commercial led trip.  The club communication coordinator will distribute emails with your information and post it on the web page.

Miscellaneous:

  • Webpage fees for hsvroadrunners.com will be paid in 2019–Est $100
  • Instant Church Directory fees (for email) will be paid in 2019-Est $100
  • The storage closet will be evacuated at the end of its rental period–Est May.
  • The two coffee pots, canopy shelter, and Roadrunner banners will be relocated to Seitz in 2019 and then sold or donated.
December 9 (Sunday):  Christmas Party at Diamante, hosted by Mary Christians and Barbara Bushee
This is a PARTY, not a meeting with Notes
