Campsite 11 is a handicap accessible for $55/night and campsites 12-15 are $50/night. All campsites are full-hookup pull-through. Reservation Phone #903-420-1400. Barksdale AFB Global Power MuseumBreaux Bridge Crawfish Festival
The Barksdale Global Power Museum is not only a memorial to our successes in battle, but a recognition of the many years spent training to deter war. The peacetime history of Barksdale Air Force Base is as significant as those years at war.
Come out and see vintage aircraft like the venerable B-17 and B-24 bombers of World War II; along with their best “Little Friend”, the P-51 Mustang. You can also see Cold War heroes such as the B-52D and B-52G Stratofortress. We will show you the highest and fastest flying jet aircraft ever – the MACH 3+ SR-71 Blackbird. There are many more on display in our air park.
Join your Trip Host Carl and Angie Tillery for a view of America's air power and a little gambling. Then if you like join the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival trip.
Let’s go to Cajun country to eat and party at the world famous Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival. There will be lots of great food, drink and Zydeco music for a fantastic time. Don’t wait too long to make your reservations as spots are going fast.
Join Trip Host James and Wanda Fontenot for a great time.
New Orleans Getaway - Join Me Trip
Departing from the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival Join Me Trip we will continue on to enjoy camping on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain in Mandeville, LA for four nights. We’ve made reservations at Fountainebleu State Park.
New Orleans is accessible on the 24 mile bridge that crosses Lake Pontchartrain. It’s a great time of the year to visit as it is the week after the infamous “Jazz Fest” and locals are recovering from the influx of people. Lots and lots to do in New Orleans! I’d recommend the World War II Museum and with the two recent expansions it takes several hours to tour. The Audubon Zoo is one of top in the US along with the Aquarium.
